The Brookings Police Department released a statement with limited details over the week end regarding a vehicle pursuit and shooting on Saturday, December 10th.
According to the Sunday press release, on Saturday morning, December 10th, Brookings Police officers were pursuing a vehicle on Hwy. 101, and then onto Carpenterville Rd.
The pursuit ended near Henderson Rd., where there was an officer involved shooting, leaving the suspect deceased.
The Curry County Major Crimes Team was activated and is currently investigating the incident, the press release concluded.
