Late Sunday afternoon, December 5th, multiple first responding agencies including the Medford Police, Medford Fire and Rescue as well as ambulance services and many other agencies, were dispatched to a reported plane crash in the parking lot adjacent to Airport Chevrolet, on Biddle Road, in Medford.
Initial information indicated that one person was on board the plane prior to the crash shortly after reportedly taking off from the airport, and did not survive. Injuries to any persons on the ground have not been reported.
The plane involved is reported to be a 9 passenger propeller plane. Medford Fire and Rescue has the fire and scene under control working and will remain to secure the scene until the National Transportation Safety Board arrives to investigate.
