Just after 7:15pm Tuesday evening, February, 23rd, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Eagle Point Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in Eagle Point, Oregon.
A male involved in the disturbance left the location with another male in an SUV prior to the arrival of law enforcement. Subsequently, the SUV was located and stopped by police moments later in the parking lot of a church on Stevens Road.
According to the press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, it was at 7:36pm when one of the involved deputies advised shots had been fired, and that one male from the suspect vehicle is deceased.
One Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy suffered a minor injury after being struck by a bullet fired by a subject in the SUV. The second male subject was treated at a local hospital.
