The City of Brookings has welcomed a new Police Officer Wednesday.
Patrick Smith was officially sworn into service Wednesday morning beginning his new career as a Brookings Police Officer.
Leading up to his new career, Officer Smith has spent many hours volunteering his time for the Brookings Police Department on many different projects, including security at events and the Brookings Police Canine program.
Officer Smith previously worked at the Brookings Les Schwab. Chances are if you have had your vehicle serviced at the Brookings location Les Schwab within the past 6 years, Officer Smith may have worked on your vehicle.
