A long-period swell originating from a strong storm near Alaska will produce dangerous high surf along southern Oregon and northern California beaches.
Surf heights will increase beginning Tuesday evening, and are expected to peak at 25-30 feet Wednesday afternoon, before diminishing Wednesday night.
Beaches and shorelines will become dangerous places. Beach erosion is possible, as well as damage to exposed infrastructure. Beachgoers should stay off of jetties and rocks, and beachcombing is strongly discouraged.
