A motorcyclist that lost control and crashed, caused a chain-reaction on Interstate 5 near Grants Pass. A fuel tanker that slowed to avoid impact with the motorcycle was rear-ended by a semi truck loaded with vegetables.
The fuel tanker was empty, but the impact still spilled motor oil and antifreeze on the freeway.
The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries by American Medical Response.
Traffic was slowed to one lane as firefighters from Rural Metro and Grants Pass managed the scene.
The Oregon State Police is investigating the cause.
