Precipitation arrived late Wednesday as another round of low pressure systems are poised to push onshore through the weekend. After the initial low pressure system moves through late Thursday, another more substantial system is forecast to bring more rain Friday through Sunday.
Areas inland are forecast to see significant chances of precipitation through the weekend with snow levels ranging from about 4200′ elevation to the 6100′ elevation. As the first system moves through Thursday, low temperatures are expected to be in the low 40’s cooling to the low 30’s over the weekend bringing snow to lower elevations with highs in the upper 40’s..
Along the coast, rain is forecast to continue through Thursday, with High Wind Watches issued by the National Weather Service with south winds 40 to 50 mph and gusts up to 70 mph possible starting early Friday into Friday evening. Temperatures are forecast to be in the low 40’s for morning lows with afternoon highs in low to upper 50’s.
