Medford Police Seek Public’s Help in Drive-by Shooting

Just after 12:30 am Monday morning August 5th, a Jackson County Deputy heard gunshots in the area of Barnett and Riverside. He conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle believed to be involved. The vehicle was found to have multiple bullet holes in the trunk and rear window.

It has been determined that the shooting took place at the intersection of Barnett and Riverside. The victim was traveling on west bound Barnett and turned onto south bound Riverside. A traffic stop was conducted on the victim in the area of Lillian and Garfield. The victim’s vehicle was struck at least three times. This is not believed to be a random incident.

In a press release from the Medford Police Department Tuesday afternoon, Officials are looking for help identifying the suspect vehicle, two pedestrians, and a truck that were in the immediate area when the shooting took place.

In the first provided photograph there is a pedestrian in the crosswalk and a pedestrian in the Walgreens parking lot. The suspect vehicle is the dark colored sedan near the intersection of Barnett and Riverside.

In the second photograph there is a dark colored truck that enters the intersection just after the victim vehicle leaves the scene and passes the suspect vehicle as it turns north bound onto Riverside.

The Medford Police Department is trying to identify the suspect vehicle, the pedestrians, and the truck that were seen at the scene.

This case continues to be actively investigated.
