Northern Oregon counties that allowed multiple weeks of civil unrest continue to dictate to all of Oregon, COVID-19 protocols. Governor Kate Brown again made masks mandatory state wide as well as reinstating a statewide State of Emergency for the next 90 days.
Curry County reported late Thursday that it now has 3 current cases of COVID-19 while the county has reported testing 729 individuals, with 722 negative tests, 7 total positive cases of COVID-19 as of Friday morning July 3rd. Two of the three new cases are from out of the area and a third unrelated case is a Curry County resident who tested positive for Covid-19. Contact tracing and investigation is being performed and all three are self-isolating and monitoring symptoms.
Del Norte County Department of Health and Human Services reported testing 2,591 individuals with 51 total cases and 2 active cases in Del Norte County as of Friday morning July 3rd.
Humboldt County to the south of Del Norte County reports testing 11,215 individuals with 138 total cases, 11 active cases, 123 recoveries and 4 deaths adding 19 new cases in the last week.
Coos County to the north, reported testing 2,746 individuals with 2,710 negative tests, and recorded 0 new confirmed cases this past week, leaving their total to 36.
Josephine County reports testing 4,309 individuals with 4,275 negative results went into the week with 26 total positive cases of COVID-19 adding 13 new cases, of which 23 are recovered cases, and 1 death.
Jackson County went into the week testing 12,468 individuals with 12,350 negative test results, adding 3 new cases totaling 131 total cases of COVID-19 and 69 recovered cases in the past week as of Friday morning July 3rd.
The jump in both Josephine and Jackson counties has been and continues to be traced to ‘parties’ according to health officials.
