A Marshfield High School teacher was arrested by the Coos Bay Police Department, Wednesday, February 14th, on sex abuse charges after a week long investigation.
According to a Thursday afternoon Coos Bay Police Department & Coos Bay School District joint press release, after receiving reports that a Marshfield High School teacher had been sexually abusing a Marshfield High School student, an investigation was initiated by the Coos Bay Police Department, Wednesday, February 7th.
The teacher, identified as 45 year old Jeremy Burgher, of Coos Bay, was immediately removed from the Marshfield High School campus and placed on administrative leave by the Coos Bay School District.
On Wednesday, February 14th, Mr. Burgher was arrested by the Coos Bay Police Department on multiple charges including, 5 counts of Sex Abuse in the 2nd Degree, Official misconduct in the 1st Degree, and Luring a Minor.
