On Saturday morning, June 24th, multiple agencies including the Illinois Valley Fire District responded to witnesses report of an aircraft crash at the Illinois Valley Airport just before 9:30am.
According to reports from the Illinois Valley Fire District, witnesses stated that the aircraft had trouble during take-off from he Illinois Valley Airport before it took a sharp turn and clipping a tree.The plane then crashed just beyond the fence line of the airport.
Upon our arrival, the pilot had self extricated, reported that he was uninjured, and refused medical attention.
The plane not on fire and was mostly intact, and all appropriate agencies have been notified.
