On Thursday night, October 10, just before 9:00pm, the Illinois Valley Fire District rescue team and American Medical Response responded to a single vehicle crash in the 200 Block of North Redwood Hwy. 199 in Cave Junction.
The vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and hit a propane tank and a building. Due to the propane leak Illinois Valley Fire also responded an engine in the event of a fire.
The north bound lanes of Hwy. 199 where blocked for approximately two hours, Illinois Valley CERT routed traffic around the affected area.
The driver was uninjured but taken into custody by Oregon State Police.
