On Saturday afternoon, a Jackson County deputy stopped a vehicle in Central Point. Upon inspection, the deputy found a total of 42 pounds of dried marijuana inside the cab and in the trunk of the vehicle.
The driver, Andrew William Long, 39, was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana (felony). The limit for personal possession of recreational marijuana is eight ounces or one ounce in a public place.
Long was also cited for driving uninsured and with a suspended license.
