On November 21st, 2017 at approximately 2:00 pm, the Oregon State Police Criminal Investigation Division was requested to assist the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office in regards to a stabbing which occurred outside the Sportsman Tavern in Cave Junction, Oregon.
Cave Junction resident, 50-year-old William Riviea, was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening stab wounds. The second subject involved in the incident, who names will not be released at this time, is cooperating with investigators.
The investigation is ongoing at this time. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident who was not interviewed at the scene is requested to call Oregon State Police Detective Ray Stallsworth. 541-618-7974.
