While conducting a drone search in response to an unrelated call, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue located a crashed vehicle on the side of Highway 140 outside of Eagle Point, Tuesday, August 6th.
On Tuesday afternoon, Search and Rescue, ultimately found what appeared to be a crashed white Mercedes SUV in steep and densely forested terrain alongside Hwy 140.
First responding Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies arriving to the scene located the crashed vehicle, and skeletal human remains inside the white Mercedes SUV.
A Central Point Police Department Medical Examiner arrived on scene and collected the remains with assistance from Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies and Search and Rescue Tactical Rope Rescue Team personnel.
On Thursday the remains were scientifically identified as Graham Case, of Medford, missing since June 22, 2023.
