A motorist fired a gun at another motorist on Hwy. 101 just south of Hwy. 299, near Arcata Friday morning, December 23rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to information provided by the California Highway Patrol, at approximately 8:25am, Friday morning, the subject was traveling northbound on Hwy. 101 when he was involved in an freeway violence incident with another motorist.
The subject, later identified as Daniel Robert Logan Fernandez Ralls, reportedly brandished a semi-automatic handgun, firing one round toward the other motorist before fleeing the scene.
Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies and officers from the California Highway Patrol apprehended Daniel Robert Logan Fernandez Ralls a short time later, taking him into custody and booking him into the Humboldt County Jail.
The victim was uninjured and there was no damage reported or claimed as a result of this incident.
