On Tuesday, October 23rd, the office of the Allendale Elementary School reported to the Grants Pass Police Department that a male subject had attempted to remove three female students from class. The students the man was attempting to pick up weren’t related to the male subject, however, it was later determined that the man was an acquaintance of the three children’s parents.
Following school protocol, the office staff called the parents of the children to confirm that Stout was approved to remove the children and the parents were unaware of any plans for him to remove the children. Although the man, identified as Christopher Stout was known to the parents, he was not an approved adult to have the ability to remove the children from school. When Stout was told the children were not going to be released to him, Stout left the school.
Stout was not immediately located by the school marshal, or responding officers. Grants Pass Police Detectives responded and began an investigation. Several of the involved persons were interviewed, which led to the identification and likely location of 43 year old Christopher Stout. Evidence gathered by Detectives revealed Stout had planned to remove the girls, two of which were 10 years old and the third 8 years old, with the intent of engaging in sexual contact with at least one of the girls. With the assistance of the Central Point Police Department, Grants Pass Detectives responded to Stout’s residence.
At Stouts residence, detectives obtained further evidence and interviewed Christopher Stout. Resulting in the investigation that followed, Stout was taken into custody. While preparing for incarceration, Stout was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center due to some preexisting medical issues. It was determined Stout would need to be admitted for further treatment. Due to the urgency of the medical situation, Stout was processed at the hospital and charges are being filed with the Josephine County District Attorneys Office.
