On Friday, October 20th, the Grants Pass Police Department received allegations of sexual abuse that had allegedly occurred at Caveman Bowl on Rogue River Highway.
Initial reports led to a thorough investigation by Grants Pass Police Detectives into the alleged abuse of a young child.
That investigation led to the arrest of 78 year old Josephine County resident, Edward Benavente, for 1st Degree Sexual Abuse of a minor under 12 years old, and two counts of Purchasing Sex with a Minor.
Benavente was lodged at the Josephine County Jail on Tuesday, October 24th.
