Man Arrested for DUII after Crashing at Same Location Twice

On Tuesday, October 23, just before 10:30 am, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report regarding a northbound pickup that had crashed into a fence at a property on Antioch Road. However, the suspect drove away in his white Ford F-150 before deputies arrived.

Witnesses followed the vehicle and provided updates to dispatch. Deputies caught up to the driver a mile away and were identified as 35-year-old Jesse Alan Rosenzweig, who also resided on Antioch Road.

Deputies arrested Rosenzweig for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, failure to perform the duties of a driver when property is damaged (“hit and run”), and driving while suspended – misdemeanor. A breath test showed Rosenzweig’s blood alcohol content was 0.19%.

Investigating deputies later learned Rosenzweig had been arrested on September 15, 2018, on charges of DUII and hit and run after an early morning crash on Antioch Road. His red GMC pickup struck a fence and rolled over, coming to rest in a property about 500 feet from the spot of the Tuesday crash.

Rosenzweig left the crash scene on foot; deputies located him walking down the road and took him into custody. A breath test showed his blood alcohol content was 0.08%. He was also cited for driving while suspended – violation.

Both cases have been referred to the Jackson County District Attorney for prosecution. Rosenzweig was arraigned in circuit court on October 17 on charges related to the September case.
