Just before 6:30pm, Friday evening, February 12th, Officers from the Crescent City Police Department responded to a possible home invasion in progress on Breen Street.
Officers arrived on scene as the suspect was actively choking one of the victims. The victims reportedly had no prior known contacts with the suspect, identified as 28 year old Roberto Casillas.
Casillas was detained at the scene, and subsequently interviewed before Crescent City Officers arrested 28 year old Roberto Casillas for Attempted Murder, 1st Degree Residential Burglary, and Battery with Serious Bodily Injury. Casillas was booked in the Del Norte County Jail.
The investigation is still active and will be forwarded to the District Attorney for review.
