Very early Saturday morning, a traffic stop was conducted on Hwy. 101 by Reedsport Police in Reedsport just before 1:30am.
The male driver from Sutherlin, was detained for officer safety after observations were made during initial contact with the driver.
During a pat down, a loaded firearm was found on his person as well as a small amount of methamphetamine and during a roadside interview probable cause was obtained and K9 Penny was deployed.
The subsequent search of the vehicle revealed three other firearms, more methamphetamine and approximately four ounces of psilocybin mushrooms.
The male driver was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a short-barreled rifle, PCS methamphetamine and PCS schedule 1 narcotic.
