Early Friday morning, June23rd, Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Phoenix Police Department were dispatched in response to a motion alarm inside the La Clinica Mobile Health Center trailer after receiving the call just before 3:30am.
Upon arrival, deputies heard someone talking and moving inside the 30-foot trailer and deputies also observed evidence of forced entry, and the doors were locked from the inside.
Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies gave commands for the subject to exit but he was uncooperative. During announcements, deputies noticed smoke billowing from inside the trailer. The team breached the door, entered the trailer, and saw smoke and flames spreading rapidly.
Deputies again gave commands for the subject to exit, and the suspect exited the trailer and was taken into custody.
Moments later, the entire trailer was fully engulfed by flames before Medford Fire personnel responded and put the fire out.
