On Monday, March 2nd, detectives with the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety conducted an investigation into an adult male luring a juvenile via a social media platform.
It was determined during the investigation that 34 year old Octavio Virrueta from Vancouver Washington had exchanged illicit photographs with the juvenile, which were sexual in nature, and had invited the juvenile to a motel in Grants Pass for the purpose of having sexual contact.
Detectives with the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety were able to locate and arrest Virrueta at a local motel on charges of Online Sexual Corruption of a Child 1, and Luring a Minor.
Virrueta, who does not reside in the area was in the Rogue Valley for business, was lodged at the Josephine County Jail.
