The National Weather Service is warning damaging winds are expected for the southern Oregon and northern California coast, the Cascades, and Siskiyous.

A major wind event could be coming together for southern Oregon and northern California as satellite imagery shows a developing low pressure system that is forecast to rapidly deepen and possibly develop into a bombogenesis situation dropping 24 millibars in 24 hours.

When a low pressure system drops 24 millibars in 24 hours it is called bombogenesis which is the same ‘bomb cylone’ that pounded the area almost exactly 1 year ago.
