On Friday afternoon, May 29th, just before 3:00pm, a semi-tractor trailer transporting a load of milled lumber overturned negotiating a curve on Hwy. 199 between Patrick Creek and the Collier Tunnel.
As the load shifted and truck tipped, it trapped or blocked a southbound vehicle which was later removed. No injuries were reported from either vehicle.
The truck scattered lumber across the roadway of Hwy. 199 which was closed for approximately 4 hours as vehicles were stopped for miles in both directions.
