Ashley and Josh Williams were traveling on Saturday, February 23, on Interstate 5 north of Grants Pass with their young child, Levathan. Another person, attempting to flee police, fired random gunshots at other motorists. During the pursuit, the suspect shot a firearm several times and struck a Commercial Motor Vehicle, a passenger car (striking the occupied child seat inside) and an Oregon State Police patrol car disabling it.
One of the rounds struck their car and Levathan’s car seat. Luckily none of the Williams were injured.
Jim Sigel Automotive offered to assist the Williams as the family was unable to afford the insurance deductible. Today the dealership delivered the Williams’ car back to them repaired at no cost to the family.
