Late Sunday evening, November 20th, the Illinois Valley Fire District and units from Rural Metro Fire responded to a reported structure fire on Hogue Dr. near Selma.
First arriving units drove up on the scene of a fully involved two story home and immediately attacked the flames.
After knocking down the active fire, the extent of the damage to the structure was revealed and the fire scene was monitored through out the extensive mop up process and through out the night as well.
Very little fire spread to surrounding wildland, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
