CalTrans crews worked frantically since Saturday in unstable conditions to clear rubble from a large slide that covered the roadway and has kept Hwy. 101 closed in both directions at Last Chance Grade since Saturday.

Hwy. 101 opened to one way traffic control with 30 minute delays at 6:30pm Monday evening, and the California Highway Patrol advised that the slide is still very active.

CalTrans crews continue to monitor the slide and the safety of continuing to allow traffic through please be prepared for additional closures if necessary.
