U.S. 101 has re-opened in both directions after a landslide about four miles south of Cannon Beach, near Tug Point. The slide occurred just after noon Friday in an area where there is a history of landslides.
The slide covered only the northbound lane. however, as material continued to filter down the southbound lane was closed for safety reasons.
After ODOT assessed slide risks and clean up, Highway 101 was re-opened in both directions at approximately 4:30 pm.
