The Lady Bruins soccer team and new varsity coach Kyla Siri had their first non-league scrimmage Sunday afternoon against the Hidden Valley Lady Mustangs.
Sunday was sunny and warm and a perfect day for soccer. Coaches and teams playing this early in the season are dealing with a few obstacles, players not at full season fitness, players thinking of the river and beach as well as players at the river and beach or on vacation with the family.
Coaches are trying accomplish a few things in these early games, test player skill sets, build fitness, and test situational play. Both teams did well testing limits and assessing skill sets.
