Lady Bruin Volleyball Coming Together as a Team

The Lady Bruin varsity volleyball team met up with the 2-1 St. Mary’s Crusaders Tuesday evening that again would be a demonstration of positive growth.

The Lady Bruins came out with a lot of energy and battled the Crusaders in the first match that went back and forth between teams. The momentum swings were many as two determined teams fought to record the all important 1st match. But the Lady Crusaders would prevail putting two points together with the core 23-23 to take the first match 23-25.

Jo Pryor #10 led the team with 6 of the teams 14 aces.

But in the second match, the Lady Bruins were not affected by the close loss of the first match as they dominated the second match with hustle plays and challenges at the net. At one point Jo Pryor #10 and Jordan Crosby #2 ripped off 14 unanswered points from service in the 2nd match.

At the net Gracie Harms #11 led the team with 10 of the teams 26 kills. The Lady Bruins had 4 players with double digit numbers in the dig column. Sierra Fitzugh #5 led the team with 15, followed by Gracie Harms #11 with 14, Jo Pryor #10 with 13, and Shelby Jirsa #4 with 12.

The Lady Bruins will be on the road to meet up with the 2-2 OSAA #15 ranked Lady Bulldogs in Sutherlin for the first time this season at 6:00pm.
