The Lady Bruin varsity soccer team traveled to South Umpqua and dominated the Lady Lancers from the opening kick-off to the final whistle.
The Lady Bruin defense stifled South Umpqua through out the game, as the Lady Bruin offense played the majority of the game on the Lady Lancer half of the field.
The Lady Bruin mid-field led by senior center mid-fielder #4 Tilly Peters controlled the middle of the field breaking up the South Umpqua offense, and setting up the Lady Bruin offense to score.
Brookings-Harbor scored 7 times in the contest with the first goal coming 20 minutes into the game on a loose ball in front of the goal from just inside the penalty box.
As the game progressed, the Lady Bruins took advantage of every loose ball in front of the Lady Lancer goal and put the ball behind the keeper 7 times, putting a 7-0 win in the win column to start the season.
The Lady Bruins will be defending their 1-0 start at home next Tuesday when they take on the Sutherlin Lady Bulldogs.
