On the afternoon of Tuesday, December 11th, detectives ended a long investigation on 41-year-old Mr. Alejandro Mendeola during a traffic stop by a patrol unit in the A-1 Mini Storage. Mendeola was accessing one of three storage units in his possession when Grants Pass police and canine Officer Match indicated Mendeola’s vehicle contained narcotics.
During the search of the vehicle after canine Officer Match hit on possible narcotics in the vehicle, approximately 1/2 pound of methamphetamine, 3.5 ounces of heroin, 2 ounces of cocaine, scales, packaging materials, and over $1,100 dollars in cash was found.
K9 Officer Match then indicated narcotics in three storage units revealing over 10 pounds of methamphetamine and 1.08 ounces of heroin and 28 miscellaneous handguns and rifles; 5 of which were reported as stolen. Mendeola is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing any firearms.
41-year-old Mr. Alejandro Mendeola was arrested on charges of Delivery, Manufacturing, and Possession of Methamphetamine, Heroin and Cocaine, Felon in Possession of a Firearm x28, and Criminal Forfeiture.
