On Sunday, June 30, just before 8:00 am, the Illinois Valley Fire District and American Medical Response responded to a two-vehicle crash on Redwood Hwy. 199 near Wild Park Lane.
A preliminary investigation showed that a red Toyota from Medford northbound and southbound black RAM pickup from Eureka struck head-on for reasons still under investigation. One driver was transported to the Asante Three Rivers Medical Center by American Medical Response.
One lane alternating traffic was set up by Illinois Valley CERT to reduce backup. The final cause of the crash is under investigation by Oregon State Police.
