On Monday afternoon, just before 3:20 pm, the Illinois Valley Fire District and American Medical Response responded to a 2 vehicle traffic accident at the intersection of HWY 199 and Pinewood Way.
American Medical Response transported 2 victims to Asante Three Rivers Medical Center. A third person was confirmed deceased at the scene. Hwy 199 was closed for approximately three and half hours.
Oregon State Police and the Oregon Department of Transportation also responded. The Oregon State Police investigation team also responded as the cause of the incident is under investigation.
Traffic control was provided by Illinois Valley Fire District, the Civilian Emergency Response Team and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
