Route 197 in Del Norte County is now open to one-way traffic control a few miles from the U.S. 101 junction after a culvert replacement was expected to keep the highway closed through Friday.
Truck and traffic that typically utilize Route 197 can resume doing so. CalTrans will be suspending flaggers on U.S. 199 who were in place to accommodate truck traffic around tight curves during the closure.
Two-way traffic on Route 197 should resume in one to two days.
