An incoming front will bring strong winds and light rain will develop across the area this afternoon in the south with heavy rain expected late tonight night as a band of precipitation moves onshore with a cold front.
Light rain and showers will persist through the rest of the week. Winds will increase late Wednesday night and diminish Thursday evening. These winds will cause hazardous conditions for outdoor recreation due to the potential for falling branches and blowing debris.
It is a good idea to secure any outdoor decorations or furniture. In addition, winds will make driving difficult for high-profile vehicles. Any exposed structures which are prone to wind damage will be at risk.
Light precipitation will also develop late Wednesday night into Thursday. Snow levels will be between 5000 and 6000 feet.
