High surf is expected Thursday & Friday as a significant swell will bring large surf to the southern Oregon and northwest California coast, and High Surf Advisories are in effect.
Keep a safe distance from the ocean. Jetties, rocks, and logs are NOT safe.
Large breaking waves will wash farther up beaches, over rocks and jetties, and will quickly generate hazardous conditions. Use EXTREME caution near the beach and avoid venturing closer to the surf zone.
