Another quick moving surface low moving through will bring more rain, gusty winds, and high elevation snow to the area through Thursday evening. Localized flooding is possible in poor drainage areas.
Rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the northern terrain. Gusty winds may down tree branches in coastal counties and on some northern ridges, several inches of snow are likely over the Cascades today with windy conditions especially along the coast.

The deep low will generate rough seas offshore with 20-25ft waves today as the cold front approaches then pushes into the coast. As a result, a high surf advisory is in effect through Thursday afternoon. A very powerful swell will continue to produce breaking waves of 20 to 25 feet. Waves this large will be capable of washing over entire beaches. These waves can sweep people from jetties or other exposed rocks and move logs of any size and create a trapping or crushing hazard to anyone nearby at any time.
Expect significant snowfall in the mountains, mostly above 5,000 foot elevations, Thursday afternoon and evening. If traveling at or above 5,000ft in the Siskiyous, especially very late afternoon through early evening, be prepared for moderate to locally heavy snowfall rates to result in slippery roads.
