A strong ridge of high pressure has anchored across the region and high temperatures are expected to soar much above normal levels with
record heat possible.
High Temperatures on the coast especially in the Brookings area and Curry County will be in the 90s with low temperatures in the 60s into Tuesday.
Inland from the coast temperatures are forecast to reach the upper 90’s to 100 degrees in some areas with gusty east to southeast winds from 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, poor relative humidity recovery, and low relative humidity expected to contribute to significant spread of new and existing fires.
