On Sunday night, January 6th, Gasquet Fire, Illinois Valley Fire, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a serious head-on crash at approximately 9:30 pm near Patrick’s Creek blocking Hwy. 199.
According to first responders, one driver self-extricated from their vehicle prior to emergency personnel arrived, however, the other driver was trapped in the vehicle.
Upon arrival, Gasquet Fire personnel had to use hydraulic equipment to extricate the trapped individual who was conscious and responding to rescuers throughout the event before being transported by ambulance to Sutter Coast Hospital.
