Early Sunday morning, March 21st, just before 7:30am, Rural Metro Fire was first to arrive at the scene after a passerby called 911 regarding a critical gun shot victim at the Hog Creek Boat Landing.
Backed up by ambulance assistance from American Medical Response, firefighters activated a medical transport helicopter from Mercy Flights Inc., and a portion of the parking lot was prepared to facilitate a safe landing zone for the helicopter to take the still-breathing patient to a Medford hospital.
The Oregon State Police and the Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident.
