On Wednesday afternoon, July 24th, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety responded to the call of a shooting at Johnston Dental Offices. When officers arrived on scene they contacted staff and patients in the offices.
Officers determined a firearm had been discharged from a vehicle driving through the driveway of the location. The vehicle left the location prior to the officer’s arrival. The round went through the office window, grazing an elderly female patient in the torso. The patient refused all medical treatment.
On Sunday morning, just before 10:30 am, July 21, a Grants Pass church, Parkway Christian Center, was the victim of a drive-by shooting. Service was in session at the time of the incident, but there were no injuries reported.
