Detectives from the Grants Pass Police served a search warrant with the assistance of the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office and members of Rogue Area Drug Enforcement team on Wednesday, January 26th, after an investigation into allegations of sexual assault of an animal by Grants Pass resident, James Ficke.
63 year old James Alan Ficke was located at the residence, and the search warrant was served. Two dogs were removed from the location by Josephine County Animal Control, and Ficke was taken into custody without incident on charges of Sexual Assault of an Animal in the First Degree, and Encouraging Sexual Assault of an Animal.
