The Curry County Sheriff’s Office recently received information from the Oregon Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.
A Curry County Sheriff’s Detective was assigned to the investigation and after extensive investigation, the Detective contacted and arrested twenty-six year old Gold Beach Oregon resident William Cody Coon who was charged with two counts of Custodial Interference in the 2nd degree and two counts of Online Sexual Corruption of a Child.
The victim reported in the case is a fifteen year old female.
Coon was lodged at the Curry County Jail on the listed charges.
The information and evidence was released to the Curry County District Attorney for prosecution. The Curry County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation and further charges may be forth coming.
