The Gold Beach Panther football program and head coach Chris Higgins celebrated Homecoming last Friday evening by continuing to win, putting the program 5-2 on the season overall, and 2-1 in league play.
Panther football extended their win streak to 3 Friday evening with a decisive victory, but the win streak started 3 weeks ago with a 36-34 overtime win at home against the BHHS Bruins, and continued the following Friday on the road, traveling to Days Creek, Oregon, and leaving with a 54-14, 40 point win.
Last Friday evening, October 22nd, Camas Valley made the trip to Gold Beach, and a fired up Panther team celebrating Homecoming as well as Senior Night, racked up 34 points against a strong Hornet defense, sending Camas Valley home thinking about a 34-8 loss.
The Panthers have put together 124 points of offense in the last 3 victories while averaging only 18 points against the Gold Beach defense in the 3 wins.
This Thursday, October 28th, Coach Higgins and his Panther football program will travel to Waldport for their final scheduled game against the 4-3 Perrydale Pirates, at 7:00pm.
