January 15th is the next Garden Club meeting. It will be held at the Chetco Community Public Library in their large meeting room. The Meet and Greet starts at 10:30 a.m. Then the business meeting is at 11:00 a.m. followed by a program. This month’s program will be very interesting as we have retired science teacher, Diane Cavaness on board with the program, “Living on the Edge”.
Diane Cavaness discuss preparing for a major earthquake and tsunami that may occur in our area. She will teach the whys, whens and hows about this major event and how to prepare ahead of time and be safe. Everyone who lives on the coast should be aware and know what to do in case of a natural disaster.
Please join us, there is no admission fee, but there will be a lot to learn.
