Just before 8:30pm Friday evening, February 16th, U.S. Hwy. 101 was closed after a slide occurred near Last Chance Grade.
The California Highway Patrol announced a full closure of U.S. Hwy. 101 in both directions just before 9:00pm after Caltrans crews arrived to attempt to remove the debris and additional material continued to slide onto the roadway.
This slide occurred south of where last months slide occurred and there currently is no estimated time for reopening.
