Very early Friday morning, April 2nd, Rogue River Fire District was dispatched to a structure fire at the Double R pub in Rogue River just before 3:00am. Three alarms were then requested.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find a fully involved strip mall with fire coming from the roof. Occupants in a nearby house were evacuated, but firefighters were able to protect the house, however, the strip mall received extensive damage.
Rogue River Fire District was assisted by Evans Valley Fire District, Grants Pass Fire Department, Rural Metro Fire Department, Jackson County Fire District 3, Medford Fire Department, Applegate Fire Department, Williams Fire Department, Rogue River Police Department, and Oregon State Police.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
