Just before 10:30pm, Wednesday July 10, the Illinois Valley Fire District responded to a Structure Fire in the 600 block of Garner Rd. Rural Metro, Oregon Department of Forestry, and AMR also responded to provide assistance.
A large tall barn was engulfed in flames shortly after the 911 call was received. The barn held a number of old VW vehicles, including a VW Bus and a VW Bug.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the IVFD Fire Marshal. IVFD Rehab unit was on scene to assist the Firefighters. CERT provided traffic control and filled air bottles.
